Differences between Trading, Investing, and Gambling Day trading is a cousin to both investing and gambling, but it is not the same as either. Day trading involves quick reactions to the markets, not a long-term consideration of all the factors that can drive an investment. Differences between gambling and investing. While Murkco noted that many aspects of gambling and investing might appear similar, there were several distinct and easily defined differences. For either investing or gambling, the beginning of Murkco’s definition is the same: An activity in which money is put at. One of the key differences between investing and gambling is diversification. Investing provides you with the opportunity to spread your risk across all asset classes, whereas gamblers throw their capital into a single pot with no loss mitigation strategy. Another key difference between the two activities has to do with the concept of time. Gambling is a time-bound event, while an investment in a company can last several years. Most investors instinctively know that investing and gambling are not the same thing. At the same time, they may find it difficult to articulate exactly why they are different. They are both often considered in a similar context — in fact, when asked to describe their personal investment strategy, investors sometimes resort to using gambling terminology.

Players stand a higher chance of winning in single-deck games due to a low house advantage than on multi-deck games. In the early days of casinos, single deck blackjack was the standard used by all casinos. If you recently started, you might have noticed that most blackjack card games today are played on 4 or 6 decks of card, while a lesser percentage is played on a single deck. And if so, is there an asubstantial difference? At this stage, you should be wondering: Does the number of decks in Blackjack matters? https://championlucky.netlify.app/single-deck-or-multi-deck-blackjack.html. I’ll say yes, the number of decks in blackjack plays a significant role.

This game is played like the bonus round of the $25,000 Pyramid, a gameshow from the 80s.
Rules:
1. There are 6 categories worth $50, $100, $150, $200, $250, and $300.
2. The $50 should be EXTREMELY easy
3. The $100 should be 'What ________ Might Say' where the blank is filled with a famous person
4. The $150 - $300 should be progressively more difficult categories.
5. For all but the $100, give a list of 4 or more items that might help the guesser guess the category. You can only give a list, not a description.
6. Players submit a list if 6 answers. First one to correctly achiveve $750 or more gains control, and puts up the next puzzle. $750 will require that the $300 is correct, or else all 5 of the others are right will also get you $750. Note: If nobody hits $750, the highest scorer, regardless of who answered first, goes next. If multiple people submit the same score, the first one to achieve the highest score is up next.
7. Some examples:
A) a book, a newspaper, a magazine, an instruction manual - Things You Read

Note: Is the game correctly played ?
Skoobdo seems to have been pretty convincing with most answers although, pedantically, I would say $250 is things at an interment. $300 is things than can be clipped.
Since the two of you combined got over $750, and Skoobdo got the majority of it, SKoobdo, you are next.
Skoobdo got $500 (The $50, $100, $150, and $200 are right).
TheoClarke got the $300.

Actually, I'm kinda surprised nobody got the $200 (Car filter, chlorine filter in a swimming pool, cigarette filter, and a hearing aid filter that blocks background noise), and I thought for sure that whether or not someone won the $25,000 or not would depend on figuring out the $300 category. Guess maybe the $200 was tougher than I thought! :-)
Anyway, tess_i_am48 is up next!
